Slider and thumbnail will crop the center portion of the image. If it’s a horizontal slider, please upload horizontal images to it. If it’s a vertical thumbnail, upload a vertical image.
If you’re using our Poppy theme, you will find that the slider is horizontal and the featured image is vertical. No worries, you just need to upload a horizontal image that is much larger than the vertical featured image size. The vertical featured image size in our Poppy theme is 600px X 800px.
Here’s an example. If you’re using horizontal slider, the photo will be cropped this way.
